DNA Testing in Fort Worth

Paternity and family relationship DNA testing at Staff Labs & The Wellness Focus Center in Fort Worth. A quick, painless cheek swab, collected the right way, in a private office.

DNA tests we help with

  • Paternity testing to confirm whether a man is the biological father of a child.
  • Family relationship testing such as sibling or grandparent tests, when the father is not available.
  • Legal DNA testing for court, child support, custody, immigration or other official use. Legal tests need identity checks and a documented chain of custody.
  • Peace-of-mind DNA testing for your own information, when you do not need the result for court.

Legal or peace of mind?

  • Choose a legal test if the result may be used by a court, an attorney, a government office or for a birth certificate.
  • A peace-of-mind test answers the question privately, but its result is usually not accepted for legal use.
  • Not sure? Call (817) 764-1999 before you book and we will help you pick the right one.
$20 off any DNA test. Mention this offer when you book.

How it works

Call or book

Tell us who is being tested and whether you need a legal result.

Come in

Each person being tested comes to the office. Adults bring photo ID; a parent or legal guardian comes with any child.

Cheek swab

We gently swab the inside of each person's cheek. No needles and no blood.

Results

The samples go to the lab, and results are released to the people named on the paperwork.

What to bring

  • Government-issued photo ID for every adult
  • A parent or legal guardian for each child, plus the child's birth certificate if you have it

Questions people ask

Does a DNA test hurt?

No. It is a soft swab rubbed on the inside of the cheek for a few seconds.

Can a baby be tested?

Yes. A cheek swab works for newborns and children. A parent or legal guardian must be present and give consent.

Do all people have to come at the same time?

It is easiest when everyone comes together. If that is hard, call us and we will explain the options.

Will a peace-of-mind test hold up in court?

Usually not. If you might need the result for anything official, book a legal test.
